Well we have gotten off to a good start. June was move in date and that went great. We started buying animals right away. Light Brahma Chickens, 27 to be exact and 8 ducks. Then came the Guineas, Royal Palm Turkeys, Rhode Island Reds, Polish, Barred Rocks and Geese. All total we had over 60 birds. Had is the operative word, we are down to about half of that now. One of the ducks met an early demise when we decided that it was time to eat her. The rest of the birds became dinner for some chicken hawks and probably some coyotes. We have added a pig and a goat to our animals and we are looking forward to the day when we have the fence put up. I am looking forward to getting some horses, that will be later much later, for now we are concentrating on other things.
In a couple of months we will start work on the green houses and getting the aquaponics going again.
August is almost over and September is just around the corner. I am ready for cooler weather but in Texas that is a couple of months away.
